Raaghav Ranganathan

Raaghav Ranganathan, born Venkataraghavan Ranganathan in Madurai, Tamil Nadu, is an Indian actor, filmmaker, music composer and television personality who primarily works in the Tamil entertainment industry. Before entering show business, Raaghav had a strong academic and technical background. He studied engineering at the College of Engineering, Guindy, where he earned a gold medal, before pursuing further studies at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign in the United States. He subsequently worked as a software engineer before making the transition into entertainment.

Raaghav first became widely known to television audiences through the inaugural season of the dance reality show Jodi Number One. He competed alongside Preetha, whom he later married, and the couple finished as runners-up. They subsequently participated together in Maanada Mayilada, where they again finished as runners-up.

His career later expanded into cinema. Raaghav made his debut as a lead actor with Nanjupuram in 2011, a project in which he also took on responsibilities as a music composer and producer. He went on to appear in films including Enthiran, Velayudham and V, working across supporting and character roles.

Raaghav further broadened his career behind the camera by writing and directing Ticket, released in 2017. His work across acting, filmmaking, music, production and television has given him experience in several different areas of the Tamil entertainment industry.

In 2026, Raaghav returned to reality television on a much larger platform by joining Bigg Boss Tamil Season 10 as a contestant. He entered the Bigg Boss house during the grand premiere on 6 September 2026, bringing with him a career spanning engineering, software, television, cinema, music and filmmaking.
