Black Pandi

Black Pandi, born Lingeswaran, is an Indian comedy actor who primarily works in the Tamil television and film industries. He is best known for playing “Pandi” in the popular Vijay TV school drama serial Kana Kaanum Kaalangal.

Early Life & Career

Lingeswaran was born in Madurai, Tamil Nadu. He comes from a family with a background in theatre, with his grandfather having served as the president of a theatre actors’ association in Madurai.

Before becoming widely known on television, he appeared in minor roles in Tamil films, including a brief appearance in the 2004 film Ghilli.

His major breakthrough came in 2006 with the popular teen television series Kana Kaanum Kaalangal. His performance as the comedic student “Pandi” became popular among viewers and earned him the nickname “Black Pandi,” which has remained his professional identity.
